Circa 1908, Lever Set, Double Marked adjusted and adj 5 pos, RR Grade/Approved,this is a scarce Elgin #349 with a beautiful nickel movement, mint Montgomery dial, and a nice fancy case!

Case... is a very nice 20 Yr YGF case, with screw front and back. Bird in flight and other embelishments artfully decorate the back. Nice crown and bow. Glass Crystal. Looks Great on this watch!

Dial... is original double sunk porcelain Montgomery Elgin dial. Perfect. Looks great. Tough to find these 18 size Montgomerys, let alone a perfect one like this. Super Clean beautiful Monty Dial!

Movement... is still like new as well on this fine timepiece. No loss of luster or brillance here! This one is a rare "double adjusted" marked model! It features a high grade regulator, marked adjusted on the balance cock as well as "adj 5 pos" on the bottom plate! These were mid plate transition watches, rr requirements dictated the 5 position marking by 1908, and Elgin simply used up the remaining "adjusted" balance cocks that already carried the adjusted marking, as well as installed the new plates with the adjusted 5 pos markings, hence the double marked movement. Very few were made like this. Running along nicely. Another of Elgin's most beautiful, highly damaskeened movements with the rare double marking! Top Book on this one is now around $600.00.
Folks, here's your chance at an extra nice scarcer #349 in a beautiful fancy RR style case, with an extra nice movement and the added bonus of being double marked. Lot of watch for the money...super nice thruout!.......$OLD

Circa 1954-55, Lever set, this beautiful RR Grade/Approved BW Raymond features the 21 Jewel 3/4 plate 571 Model Movement done in nickel. Also marked "9 Adjustments", their last movement model made, as well as their final version, approved by all rail lines...Elgin's best selling railroad watch! Also features an original porcelain signed Elgin BW Raymond dial in great condition, one light hairline by 7 that would wash out, and a like new "Cased and Timed By Elgin" Original Model #3058 (Their last) marked Yellow GF Streamline Case! Case is extra nice, tight original bow, one of the finer condition pieces like this I've seen. Tasteful personalization on back. Feast your eyes on that 3058 case! Big, bold shoulders, they saved their best case for last. It's a beauty all round! These were carried by railroad professionals who demanded accurate timekeeping. Good Running order, movement still like new as well...beautiful thruout!

Elgin made three types of this 571. Type "A", not marked BW Raymond, Type "B", marked BW Raymond and adjusted 8 Positions, and Type "C", adjusted to 9 Positions.

This is one of the last Type "C", with the "I" serial number prefix. marked BW Raymond on movement and with the signed Elgin "BW Raymond" dial.

This beauty shows a very late 1954-Early 1955 manufacture date. Less than a year later they would be gone forever. This was their "swan song". Folks, this 571 is becoming one of the hardest to acquire in the Elgin line, and seldom appear looking this nice, and in a Streamliner case in such good condition. I have never had one this close to the end, what a piece of history here, folks!

These rarely surface anymore, this was Elgin's last American railroad model, and their best. Imagine heading south out of Chicago on the Illinois Central "City of New Orleans" Special in the middle 1950s, and asking the conductor what time it was. More than likely he would have pulled this 3058 Streamilner 571 out and told you. Neat Americana here. Look it over carefully, and I'm sure you'll agree it's a fine one.
