Circa 1911, LS, Marked Adjusted 5 Positions, diamond end stone regulator, wind indicator feature, RR Grade/Approved, this is a scarce hi grade 21 Jewel BW Raymond Wind Indicator with a beautiful nickel movement in the much scarcer 18S version! Case... is a CWC screw back & bezel RR case, with a beautiful fancy engine turned back...looks like new, and appears original to the watch! Like new crown and very tight bow. Glass crystal.Beautiful case! Dial... is original Montgomery Indicator RR Elgin dial and is perfect...no hairlines! One very miniscule flake by wind indicator post, I can't see without a loupe. Triple matching Elgin RR hands....very clean. Movement... is simply like new on this superior timepiece. It features a high grade regulator fitted with a diamond end stone, fully marked adjusted to five positions. Internally Jeweled Barrell. Running nicely, has not been serviced. One of Elgin's most beautiful, highly damaskeened movements. Book on this beauty shows $1600 in rough condition, $2000 in average, and $3,000.00 in top condition, which this one certainly is! Wind Indicators are down a little, which only means now is a great buying opportunity! (I've seen these go for anywhere from $2800-$3500.00 in recent months...most no where near as nice as this one!)  |  Circa 1942, lever set, This beautiful RR Grade/Approved BW Raymond features the WW2 Issue 21 Jewel 3/4 plate Model Movement done in gold flashing! Also marked "adjusted 5 positions" and "temperature", approved by all rail lines...Elgin's best selling railroad watch! Also features an original porcelain Canadian 24 Hour Dial in near mint condition, lite hl at 4 that cannot be seen save with a loupe, and a beautiful Elgin Style #3056 Case signed "cased and timed by Elgin" on inside back! Case is extra nice, one of the finer condition pieces like this I've seen. These were carried by railroad professionals who demanded accurate timekeeping. Running order.
