JP	Circa 1893, Lever Set, Special Adjusted to 5 Positions (marked), RR Grade/Approved by all Rail Lines in 1893, Here's a very scarce John C. Dueber Special! This Special Adjusted Railroad Hunter was Hampden's best in the 17 Jewel 18 Size! They were made specifically for railroad duty. In that class, they had to be good...scarce hi end Hampden! Case... is a silverode open face swing out style case. Shows well. Nice crystal. Good 18S RR Case Dial...is an original double sunk porcelain enamel Hampden Dial with Roman numerals. Several lite hairlines, still looks good, matching "moon" hands. Movement...is another of Hampden's top quality grades...The "John C. Dueber Special". It features a beautifully damaskeened Movement, fully railroad adjusted, in good condition. Running well, has not been serviced or timed. Mr. Dueber was the head of Hampden Watch Co. He wouldn't put his name on anything less than the best. Only 5100 of these Model 2s were made, and only 1000 in this run. Very low proiduction railroad hunter!
