Circa 1943, Stem Set, Adjusted to SIX POSITIONS AND TEMP., RR Grade, this is an historical 22 Jewel Hamilton 4992B model with a sweep second and hack feature in excellent condition...Don't Miss This One! Case... is the original military style Keystone case, same one Hamilton used for this model. Ordinance #'s on back show very nice, and case #s match! Beautiful condition overall. Hard to find one this nice, folks!
Dial... is the scarcer white 12 hour dial option model! signed GCT with 5 minute markers. Not seen often. It is perfect, looks like the day it first went into service. Triple matching black hands are all original not painted and show as new. New Glass domed crystal sets it off nicely. Beautiful example as you can see.
Movement... is a beautiful 22 Jewel (this has one extra jewel and an extra wheel as you can see for the sweep), fully marked, shows as new. Good running order. I've been timing it and it's doing fine, good motion on balance.
This is an historical timepiece, marked "AF 43" on back denoting air force usage, and 1943 production. Most likely carried by any number of ground air force personnel including engineers and other wartime railroad personnel. Also could have been in one of many important battles in the closing days of WW2, I wish it could talk, it would certainly have some stories to tell! This is by far the nicest example that I've come across in some time. Very well kept 4992B, you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer one. These are seldom seen with the 12 Hour white dial. Don't Miss Out on this incredible find.
