Series 10
Beautiful Railroad
Rare Variant Monty Dial
Beautiful Howard YGF Case!
Like New Movement
Serial #
1146211

Folks, here is one that I was fortunate enough to be able to get...When I saw this rare Montgomery dial I just had to have it to show my customers! I have never seen nor will probably ever again see another dial like this...

Circa 1912, LS, Adjusted Temp. and 5 positions, double roller, motor barrel, RR Grade/Approved by all Railroad Lines, this is the very desirable 21 Jewel Howard Series 10! This one is one of the finest examples I have ever had, in great condition thruout, and features a beautiful never before seen original Howard Military Style Montgomery dial and is cased in a Howard signed swing out YGF case.

Case... is a 14K YGF swing out case with the Howard curvette. Beautiful condition, as is the rest of the watch. Nice crystal. Plain polished back in excellent condition...truly a nice case.

Dial... on this one is very rare indeed...an "outlined numeral" Military Style Montgomery Porcelain Dial! This is the first one like it I've ever seen...what a looker! One lite line below center post that cannot be seen without a loupe, look at that dial and those thick spade hands...maybe custom made for some military use by a trainman? It's a jaw dropper at any rate...and very rare. Rare Series 10 Montgomery Dial.

Movement... is truly in new condition. Check it out. All correct, running along very well. As close to new as you'll ever find. Everything in place and correct. Beautiful condition Series 10 Movement!

Folks, these Series 10's are becoming quite hard to find in today's marketplace, most having been put up long ago in private collections, and one like this is truly a once in a lifetime find. What a Beauty. It was obviously put up for most of it's life. If you want a nice one, along with that super rare Monty Dial, this is for you. I obviously paid a bit more for this one to be able to present it here, but still a great value. Top book is $800+ on these. Series 10 Railroad With A Rare Variant Montgomery Dial!......$679.00

TOTAL PRODUCTION: 7,320
Rare Important Railroader
PRICED UNDER LOW BOOK!
Serial #
2502614

Circa 1913, Lever Set, Marked Adjusted to Five positions, 21 Jewels, RR Grade/Approved, this was one of Illinois higher grade 18 Size Railroads being produced at the time...The 18 Size 21 Jewel "A. Lincoln". These have all but disappeared, this one has a very low 7,320 production, so please give this a close look:

Case... is a Keystone metal case in good condition, Nice crown and bow....good crystal.

Dial... is the correct original porcelain Gothic Dial. Has a few light hairlines and a small flake at 7, still shows well, would benefit from a cleaning, this giveaway price takes all this into consideration. Triple matching original Illinois hands.

Movement... is fully marked as stated above. Good condition, no scratches. Only 7,320 of this type were ever made, and finding an A. Lincoln of any size is becoming difficult, an 18 size is almost impossible due to the low production. Good running order, starts right up and has good motion, has not been serviced.
Folks, here's a very tough to find Illinois Railroad watch priced under low book! This is a very important and rare Illinois railroad, named for our president, with low production. These are an excellent investment. I bought this in a large lot therefore I was able to get this under low book (Book is 250-400 and top book is $500), at $219 this shouldn't be here very long! You'll be glad you own this one down the road........$219.00

Folks, I don't get one like this in very often and of all the ones I've had this is far and away the finest....take a hard look at it...Circa 1901, Lever Set, Adjusted to 5 positions, sunken balance, Marked 19 Jewels, RR Grade/Approved this is one of Waltham's most beautiful Model 92s...The 19 Jewel Crescent St.! This was the pinnacle of Waltham's railroad efforts in my opinion...built like a tank....able to withstand severe railroad applications. This is a "real world" railroad built for exacting timekeeping and this is the finest example I've yet had....as good as they get!

Case... is a Wadsworth 25 Yr YGF "Pilot" with a beautiful plain polished back. Case looks fantastic. No wear on body, back shows no wear tight bow and take a look at that beautiful crown! New Crystal. This was the top of the line case at the time...they didn't get any better! Beautiful 18S Wadsworth RR Case

Dial... is double sunk Waltham with Arabic numerals. 1 lite hl at 27 that cannot be seen and then only with a loupe in the right light. Super Clean. As nice an example as you'll find...Beautiful original blued spade hands.

Movement... has the beautiful sunken balance, gold starburst regulator,, beautiful screwed down gold jewel settings. Lever set RR version marked "19 Jewels". Running and timing well, was put on timing machine and running within 20 sec per day. Ready to show and enjoy, and believe me you will want to show this one off! Winds as smooth as butter, as these in like new condition should. The 19J 1892 model versions are much harder to come by.
Folks, this, in my opinion, was one of Waltham's most beautiful movements. If you're wanting a scarcer lever set marked 19 Jewel Crescent St. in your collection, this is certainly one to consider...as nice as you'll ever find. I'll put this up against any railroad watch ever made...and you'll certainly get no argument from a knowledgeable collector...as being one of the best ever made. You'll be hard pressed to find another in this condition, (and as we know condition is everything)...for any amount of money.   Folks, I know times are tough. Where does one put what little money they have to invest? In these turbulent times why not a tried and true proven investment? These Hamilton made Illinois are about as sound a decision as you can make, and right now is an excellent entry point price wise. You will thank me down the road if you're lucky enough to own this one, believe me...

Circa 1930, LS, adjusted to Temp. and 6 Positions, double roller, motor barrel, gold train, RR Grade/Approved, marked Grade 161, this is a landmark Illinois Bunn Special Sixty Hour 161. It also features a very nice hard to find yellow gold filled Model #107 Bunn Special Case, and a beautiful scratch free movement truly like new....feast your eyes on this bad boy...I did whatever I had to in order to bring this here for your viewing enjoyment...it's quite the railroad.Very hard to find low production Type II 161 21J Sixty Hour!

Case... is a Keystone J. Boss 10K yellow gold filled Model #107 (Also known as the "Napolean Bow") Case. In beautiful condition, Plain Polished Back still shines like a mirror. Very hard to find these Model 107 cases this nice and complete! Nice Original Crown and Bow, Glass Crystal. This was one of the original "cased at the factory" cases that these watches came in. Hamilton made all of the marked grade Bunn Specials (notice the word "Co." is deleted from the Illinois Watch markings on the movement.) You'll not find a much nicer example.

Dial... is original double sunk Illinois bold arabic type Montgomery dial. One hl at 4 that you'll never see without a loupe. This Monty dial in near perfect shape like this is one of the hardest to find of all Illinois' dials, folks, and this one is about as good as they get. Gorgeous blued spade hands. Beautiful, clean Illinois Monty Dial!

Movement... is Illinois' famous Bunn Special Sixty Hour. It is the Type II, marked 21 Jewels on train bridge and Sixty Hour and 161 on bottom. Also marked Adjusted Temp. and Six Positions, gold train. The movement is in mint as new condition, showing no scratches and/or deterioration. Black lettering still standing out as when new. Only 2,033 of these fine railroads were made, one of the lowest production numbers of all Hamilton marked Bunn Special grades! Running well.
Hamilton Watch Co. bought out Illinois in 1928, and continued to manufacture Illinois watches first in Springfield, IL, then later at the main plant in Lancaster, PA.
Folks, this about as good of an example of the Type II 21J Sixty Hour 161 as you'll find . These are about gone from the marketplace, especially the finest examples such as these, no one wants to sell anything this nice, and consequently prices have skyrocketed.

I was able to get this beauty at a very good price and if you're wanting one of these for your collection, this would make an excellent choice.

These Illinois mfg. by Hamilton are very special watches, sure to keep increasing in value over the years. At this price I can't think of a better rock-solid investment than this beautiful Illinois! 21 Jewels Sixty Hour Type II 161 with a beautiful Model #29 Case and a gorgeous Montgomery dial at a great price!....$1195.00

The movement, which is engraved very much like THE Studebakers is like new. One of the nicest 227s I've seen.

The dial has the more expensive metal option, some railroaders preferred these as they did not develop hairlines. Some lite oxidation, still shows well. Unique Metal RR Dial

Case is a Philadelphia Loaner style case with a plain back. Phila made these for Ball and many other companies. Just a good sturdy workin man's case. It has survived in very good condition as you can see.
