We have just completely gone thru this beauty and it is now ready for you to show, carry, and enjoy!

Case... is a YGF Dueber Special 25 Yr hunter case with gorgeous fancy front and back. It is in excellent condition, no wear thru. Really shows off this one nicely! Correct for the time period. Beautiful Hunting Case!

Movement... is the finest example of this rare bird I have yet seen. It has the beautiful gold starburst regulator, beautiful screwed down gold jewel settings. Marked 21 Jewels and adjusted (5 positions). We just totally cleaned, insyalled a new mainspring, and rebuilt the lever set function as well as installed a mint original dial and new glass crystal! Complete restoration on this beauty. Running and timing very well, this is an early version of the rare two tone 21J Crescent St. Total production on all models was less than 1000, and probably less than 250 of this 21J version. Only a few others have been found and reported. (See Model 92 Database Below) One of the rarest Walthams you'll ever have the opportunity to acquire! Winds as smooth as butter. The Two Toning on this one still looks like new! Absolutely no washout as you can see! Beautiful clean example of a super rare 21 Jewel Crescent St. Two Tone RR Hunter.
Folks, this, in my opinion, is an excellent buy. These big Waltham hunters are some of the most undervalued timepieces out there right now, let alone a rare one like this. Time has shown that these will always be a consistent winner in this type of condition. This was the top of the line in Railroad Hunters back then. They just weren't made any better! If you're wanting a nice one to show and watch appreciate in value at the same time, this is certainly one to consider.   Folks, I've never had or seen this Riverside Hunter variant before...a rare early Model 92 railroad watch!....take a hard look at it...Circa 1898, Lever Set, Adjusted to 5 positions, sunken balance, Marked 17 Jewels, adjusted, RR Grade/Approved in 1898 this is one of Waltham's most beautiful Model 92s...The 17 Jewel Riverside! This was the pinnacle of Waltham's railroad efforts in my opinion...built like a tank....able to withstand severe railroad applications. This is a "real world" railroad built for exacting timekeeping and this is the first hunting case variant example I've had...

Case... is a Phila Victory YGF with beautifully engraved front and back. Shows very little use. Tight bow and take a look at that beautiful crown! New Glass Crystal. Case is almost museum quality.

Dial... is double sunk correct American Waltham Watch Co with correct Roman numerals. Perfect...no hairlines or other defects. Super Clean. As nice an example as you'll find...Original matching Waltham spade hands. Nice impossible to find Riverside Model 92 Dial!

Movement... has the beautiful sunken balance, starburst regulator,, safety (motor) barrel, beautiful screwed down gold jewel settings, and gorgeous polished alloy or "chrome" rachet wheels found on only a few of their earliest highest grade models. Lever set RR version marked "17 Jewels" and "adjusted" (5 positions). Running and timing well.

This one has the serial # directly under the "AWW" Waltham, Mass" logo...All of the other earlier ones had it off to the side. Only a few of these lever set hunting versions of this high grade watch were made between 1897-1900. I'm sure only a handful survive today. I had never even seen one like this before until this one, and I've looked at literally thousands of Walthams thru the years.
Folks, this, in my opinion, was one of Waltham's most beautiful movements. If you're wanting an extremely rare lever set Model 1992 Riverside Hunter in your collection at a very good price, this is certainly one to consider...probably the only one you'll ever see. Less than 300 of these beautiful 3 fingered bridge models marked 5 Positions were all that were ever made, this was their highest grade 17 Jewel watch. I'll probably never have another marked like this.

Case... is an Olympia fancy YGF hunting case. Gorgeous engine turned front and back, as you can see. Opens and closes properly. Great case to show off this rare historical icon! Nice Glass Crystal.

Dial... is original SS glass enamel with Roman Numerals as these Hunter dials were signed Illinois in Fancy Script lettering. Perfect, no defects noted. Beautiful plum railroad hands.

Movement... is fully marked 17 Ruby Jewels, "187" on the finger bridge, Illinois Watch Company, Springfield, Double Roller, and Adjusted to Temperature and 5 Positions as stated above.

Only 300 of these were made in hunter form that were marked "Adjusted 5 Positions". The others were marked six positions or unmarked.

Also, the book is saying not all were "double marked" 5 positions as well as "187". This one is in a run of only 100 watches, and that could very well be the entire production of this scarce variant! Gorgeous "Sun Ray" Damaskeening. Just look at this beauty! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity here, folks. The odds of me ever having another are as rare as this watch. Running and timing well. Rare 950B GT!

RW

Circa 1942, LS, Adjusted 6 positions, double roller, motor barrel, Elinvar Hairspring, GOLD TRAIN, RR Grade/Approved, this is a very scarce, very nice Hamilton 950B! This high grade timepiece also features a very low (1774) serial #, gold train gears, an original Hamilton porcelain dial marked "RR Special 23 Jewel", and the original Model "A" YGF Case in great condition. Some have tried to fake these by putting in gold trains, calling wrong dials and cases correct, etc.
The only correct early model American example has the porcelain Railway Special 23J dial and the Model A Case! It's a excellent example of a 950B, folks, all original. Don't miss this one!

Case... is a gold filled Hamilton Model #A (sometimes referred to as the "pimple" case) in excellent condition. Plain polished back is beautiful as you can see. Nice tight crown and bow, beautiful glass crystal. No wear thru noted anywhere, great example! Original Model #A Hamilton Case in superior condition.

Dial... is original Hamilton porcelain dial signed RR Special and 23 Jewels. This dial is original to the watch, as well as the only correct dial. One lite line below 31 at subseconds, not visible w/o a loupe. Original triple matching baton hands complete the package. Near Mint Original 23J RR Special Dial.

Movement...is fully marked as stated above and in excellent condition. Beautiful Damaskeening! Lettering still looks new. Early Model Featuring Gold Train gears. Running very well, has just been completely checked and timed.
Folks, this was Hamiltons best in a 23 Jewel Railroad watch, and produced in very low numbers. (Less than 3500 produced with the gold train) It is all original, and one of the most desirable and hardest to find Hamilton Railroads! Has all the most desirable (and correct) features as well..Model #A case, gold train movement, and a near mint original porcelain double sunk signed 23 Jewel Railway Special Dial. These Gold Train 950B's are tough to find, and rarely surface nowadays.
Top book on this watch is now $2200, with an "up" arrow indicating high interest and further price increases! (Look at the prices of "The Studebaker" and the Illinois Ball 2-3 years ago and now....This one will end up doing the same.)
These are an excellent investment, especially an all original one like this! In this price range why settle for a "made up" one that you will not be happy with? This one is a solid investment, as well as one of the most beautiful railroads you'll ever own. Will be the highlight of your Hamilton Railroad Collection. Judge this one for yourself, and, like me, you'll have to agree it's well worth owning. I have sold these in the past for $1695-$1895 so take advantage of this one priced hundreds below that!   Folks, I've never had or seen this Riverside variant before...a rare pendant set Model 92 railroad watch!....take a hard look at it...Circa 1899, Pendant Set, Adjusted to 5 positions, sunken balance, Marked 17 Jewels, RR Grade this is one of Waltham's most beautiful Model 92s...The 17 Jewel Riverside! This was the pinnacle of Waltham's railroad efforts in my opinion...built like a tank....able to withstand severe railroad applications. This is a "real world" railroad built for exacting timekeeping and this is the first pendant set variant example I've yet had...

Case... is a Fahy's Montauk 20 Yr YGF with a plain polished back. Shows light carrying wear but looks great. Tight bow and take a look at that beautiful crown! Glass Crystal.

Dial... is double sunk correct American Waltham Watch Co with Arabic numerals. Perfect...no hairlines or other defects. Super Clean. As nice an example as you'll find...Original matching Waltham spade hands. Nice impossible to find Riverside Model 92 Dial!

Movement... has the beautiful sunken balance, starburst regulator,, safety (motor) barrel, beautiful screwed down gold jewel settings, and gorgeous rachet wheels. Pendant set RR version marked "17 Jewels" and "adjusted" (5 positions). Running and timing well.

Only 500 od these pendant set versions of this high grade watch were made between 1898-1900. I'm sure only a few survive today. I had never even seen one like this before until this one, and I've looked at literally thousands of Walthams thru the years.
Folks, this, in my opinion, was one of Waltham's most beautiful movements. If you're wanting an extremely scarce pendant set Model 1992 Riverside in your collection at a very good price, this is certainly one to consider...probably the only one you'll ever see. Scarce 18S 17 Jewel Riverside Pendant Set Model 1892 in very good condition at a great price!.......$OLD

Case is extra nice, beautiful original bow, one of the finer condition pieces like this I've seen. Inscription on back from Michael to his dad. It's a beauty all round! These were carried by railroad professionals who demanded accurate timekeeping. Good Running order, has just been fully checked and timed. Movement still like new as well...beautiful thruout!

Elgin made three types of this 571. Type "A", not marked BW Raymond, Type "B", marked BW Raymond and adjusted 8 Positions, and Type "C", adjusted to 9 Positions.

This is an early 1952 variant Type "C", marked BW Raymond on movement but with the Elgin "DP" dial (denoting the durapower mainspring.) Folks, this 571 is becoming one of the hardest to acquire in the Elgin line, and seldom appear looking this nice, and in a Streamliner case in such good condition.

These rarely surface anymore, this was Elgin's last American railroad model, and their best. Imagine heading west on the Canadian Railway Line in the 1950s, and asking the conductor what time it was. More than likely he would have pulled this Streamliner 571 out and told you. Neat Americana here. Look it over carefully, and I'm sure you'll agree it's a fine one.

Circa 1909, here's a seldom seen BW Raymond #370 railroad grade/approved watch! This one is comparable in quality to the venerable Veritas, having a hi grade regulator, screw down jewel settings, and gorgeous damaskeening. Quite desirable...features the beautiful 17 Jewel 34 plate Model Movement. These have all but disappeared from the market, this is the only one I've seen in quite awhile. Also marked "Adjusted" on balance cock as well as 5 Positions. Lever Set, RR Grade/Approved.

Here's a few facts about this desirable BW Raymond: This scarcer grade 370 17 Jewel BW Raymond was produced 2 YEARS ONLY...1909-1910. This is the 279th Grade 370 watch made in the first run. Only 7300 were produced in those two years.

Unique in the fact that it was the first 16S Elgin with the Railroad Regulator. It was ALSO the first 16S Motor Barrel Elgin. Marked Adjusted and 5 Positions, and accepted on any railroad in 1909 as it met ALL requirements.

Also features the original porcelain double sunk dial in good condition. Shows very well as you can see. Cased in a Century swing out silver case. Takes right off and has good motion.

GOLD TRAIN Movement
Rare 950B GT!
Serial #
S1774

Rare 950B with the gold train in all original condition...very fairly priced at only .........$1479.00

RW

Circa 1904, Lever Set, Adjusted to 5 positions (marked), sunken balance, Diamond End Stone, Marked 21 Jewels, RR Grade/Approved this is one of Waltham's most beautiful Model 92s...The 21 Jewel Vanguard! This was the pinnacle of Waltham's railroad efforts in my opinion...built like a tank...diamond end stone...able to withstand severe railroad applications. This is a "real world" railroad built for exacting timekeeping....as good as they got!

Case... is a CWC Planet YGF with an engraved back. Case shows a little carrying wear, nice crown and tight bow, still looks great. YGF 18S RR Case

Dial... is double sunk Waltham with Arabic numerals. Couple hl can be seen, still decent overall. This was used in railroad service, still holding up nicely ready for the next 112 years...and it will be around...even long after that!

Movement... has the beautiful sunken balance, gold starburst regulator, diamond end stone, beautiful screwed down gold jewel settings. Running and timing well, and has just been checked. It truly looks new, one of the nicest I've seen. This watch was used as it was meant to be but serviced correctly and properly in its long life.
Folks, this, in my opinion, was one of Waltham's most beautiful movements. If you're wanting a Model 1892 21 Jewel Vanguard in your collection, this is certainly one to consider. I'll put this up against any railroad watch ever made...and you'll certainly get no argument from a knowledgeable collector...as being one of the best ever made. Book is now $500 top on these, I have this priced very fairly and it is a nice railroad watch. Beautiful 18S 21 Jewel Vanguard at a great price!.......$279.00

Movement... is one of Illinois' most beautiful...the 21J Bunn Special 18 Size Two Tone. Fully marked as stated above.
