ST-1902 22 JEWEL MECHANICAL HANDWOUND CHRONOGRAPH
(Hand Assembled/Damaskeened By Swiss Invicta Team)
You'll hear all sorts of stories about this remarkable timepiece.... Invicta is always looking to build a different timepiece. They wanted to try an exotic manual wind chronograph that would rival the likes of Girard-Perregaux, Rolex and similiar timepieces but without the 5 figure price tag. They went about procuring the movements from Seagull (A well respected watchmaker in business since 1955) then their Swiss team of experts hand assembled and damaskeened/modified/time-tested the movements. These were first released to the market sometime in late 2005/early 2006 as near as I can tell. Before commiting to these I wanted first hand experience with them.... Invicta's Swiss team hand built and assembled each and every one of these that wasn't enough for me.... I did more extensive research on this one before committing to these pieces, It passed with flying colors! You can rest assured each and every one of these will be tested by me personally before it ships out. That's a promise.
The ST-1902 will time about +-10 sec a day, which is typical for this type of exotic movement. My watchmaker said it's very similiar to the Lemania handwound chrono movement I have in my $4,600 Girard-Perregaux!
